iClear now operates in Nairobi and Nakuru, is opening a branch in Mombasa, and has expanded into Nigeria through a franchise model. Each location was chosen to address a specific, documented water problem, not simply to grow for its own sake.
Nairobi: Where It Started
Nairobi remains iClear's home base, chosen because our co-founder Zhong Yanxiong already knew the city well from years running Tecno's operations there. That familiarity, combined with direct exposure to Nairobi's rapidly growing borehole-dependent estates, shaped the business from day one.
Nakuru: Following the Fluoride
Nakuru sits inside Kenya's Rift Valley fluoride belt, alongside Naivasha, Gilgil, and Kajiado, where iClear's own field measurements have recorded fluoride above 8.75 mg/L, well over the WHO guideline of 1.5 mg/L. A second branch here means faster installation and service in a region where the need is well documented.

Mombasa: A Different Water Problem
Mombasa's newest branch addresses coastal groundwater's distinct issue, saline intrusion, where seawater mixes into freshwater aquifers, driving dissolved salt levels well beyond typical inland readings. Local servicing now supports this specific coastal challenge.

The iClear Standard, the same system extending into Nakuru and Mombasa, engineered for high-mineral and high-salt water conditions.
Crossing the Border: Nigeria
Nigeria marked iClear's first expansion beyond Kenya, entered through a franchise partnership in 2024, built on the same long-term service commitment as the Kenyan model rather than a one-time product drop.
